Pesach Seder without Ruth, but with guests. Then with Ruth to the North. We tried to go to ancient Gamla, but couldn't. Tried to do the Yehudiah trek, but it was blocked due to falling rocks. We did the Jalaboon walk from the Devora Falls (on the Gilbon Stream) till the base of the Jalaboon falls (on the Jalaboon stream). (Same stream.) Went rafting on the Hatzbani (Jordan) River.

Visited Sandy to see her parents. Took Louis with us. Picked up Ruth at her base and did the Aminadav forest walk (no pictures). (See the photos from Yom HaAtzmaut 2010 if you are interested.) [Ella was resting at our home.]

Ariel was picked to practice with the Israeli team (but not to travel). Ariel’s team reached the semi finals. One particularly memorial game against Beit Shemesh Beasts.

Aunt Leah came to Israel for a family wedding. Sharon and I joined the Aunt Leah and the Friedman’s for a meal at Rosie Tauber’s and the Dahls had a dinner with Aunt Leah in Mamila, Jerusalem.

The camp was again in the Carob Tree Forest: very hot, very dusty. Plenty of cow dung. Ariel was on the safety committee and for the first time the only Dahl child in camp.

A medium-sized drive made longer by peak hour traffic; parking made more difficult by the small parking lot; a short while of just waiting and silly pictures, and then Ella was on the bus.

Ruth was home for her birthday, so we went for a barbeque in the Tzora Forest (previously know as the President's Forest). We forgot to bring disposable cutlery and a bottle opener, but we ate the meat in pitot (pita bread) and used pliers to open the bottles. (It was the first time we brought alcoholic beverages to a picnic.) After the meat was all cooked, we used the coals to light a small bonfire and Sharon melted marshmallows. (Ella was in the army.)
